hitRECord x SONY
I’m super-stoked to announce that the ad campaign we collaborated on with SONY for their RX100 II camera has officially launched!
Throughout the fall and early winter you will see a number of different variations of this ad online, in magazines, within SONY retail stores, and on outdoor signage like billboards and bus wraps all over the U.S. - so keep an eye out for them.
Earlier this year, Sony sent RX100 II cameras to fifty of some of the more prominent and established photographers on hitRECord for the purpose of shooting images for this ad campaign. And we’re proud that these photographers were chosen by members of our community.
I would like to say thank you to SONY for coming on board to support us again in 2013. And, as a result of this partnership, all of 2013’s money-making productions - including the photographs featured in this ad campaign - will receive a portion of this sponsorship money.
Hope you all enjoy the campaign!
Thanks again <3

BAD GIRLS THROUGHOUT HISTORY by ANN SHEN.
My sweet friend LENA knows me so well. She’s the greatest pal a gal could ever ask for. I came home to a package of magic things, but this little booklet is my new favorite object. The pages are filled with the most lovely portraits of “bad girls”, aka the ladies I seem to admire the most.
(Thank you so, so much, Lena. You make my days brighter and happier with your everlasting generosity. <3)
BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR, 2013.
On Saturday I took myself on a movie date to finally see this wonderful piece of revolutionary cinema. my heart hurts! (in a good way) the emotion was so raw and so goddamn palpable. Léa and Adèle played their roles with such vigor, heart and immense passion. It’s a film that lasts for three hours but never felt like it. As the viewer you instantly fall for these two young women who essentially love like they want to devour each other.
It was realistic and heart-shattering, sexually intense and hypnotizing.
I can’t wait for the world to fall in love with Adèle’s performance. She’s definitely one to watch out for.
Go see this film. And then let’s talk about it.
Metaphorical family PATTERNS.
My mom + her love of cameras, her daughter + her love of cameras.
My dad + his glasses, his daughter + her glasses.
