The Citizens Band at the Abrons Arts Center, 10.26.12.

Lovely, inspiring, and more than worth the price of admission. Everything about this show was so aesthetically and euphoniously pleasing. Made me want to play dress-up every day of my life and also made me a little overanxious to get my absentee ballot it the mail! My eyes, ears, and heart are in lovelovelove. Easily the most magnificent live show I’ve been to in a long time.

Kim tells me they played YOU DON’T OWN ME at tonight’s show in NYC. :o)

Such a room of talented, magickal people.

Get yourselves in on THE CITIZEN’S BAND, if you haven’t already!

THANKSGIVING: COME, ALL YE TENDERHEARTED
by Sarah Sophie Flicker

“Regardless of what we traditionally think of Thanksgiving, its history or what it stands for. I’d like to imagine that we can claim it as a day of living up to its name. And it’s a beautiful name, Thanksgiving. Even at it’s most removed, the name asks us to think, simply, about what we are grateful for and give thanks. Gratitude in the most basic terms is being thankful and appreciative of the good things you have, it takes us out of the need for more, the dissatisfaction we often feel daily, it is not cynical or material based. Gratitude requires us to stop, take stock of our lives. I’m a sap and I’ve always loved this holiday, but I especially love it this year.”
